What first?

Question:

To go pro, what's more important to show: teamwork or individual skill?

Answer:

That's a great question Zac, the easy answer is of course, both! That's quite vague you might be saying, let me explain.

There is no doubt that you do need to stand out individually. Showing your qualities and what you do best in whichever position you may play is important. Whether your a defender, midfielder, striker or goalie you need to be master of your craft.

After you've shown off your individual skills, coaches, agents and scouts also look for how you gel with your teammates and if you understand the game as a piece of the puzzle not just the main man. This includes such qualities as tactical awareness, composure, covering for others and leadership.

As you can see both individual skill and the ability to work as a member of a team are both extremely vital to having the opportunity to play at the highest level. Although most will say it's all up to you and your quality as an individual is most important (which it is) it is not the only thing.

Good luck to you and hope this has helped.

How to become a pro soccer player

by Yvonne Cipres-Torres
(U.S ,CAL, San Brenardino)

Question:

I wanna know how a highschool graduate can be a pro soccer player this information i wana know is not for me but my boyfriend who's dream is to be a pro soccer player and i wana help him

Answer:

Yvonne, first off the biggest misconception about playing soccer professionally is that all you need is to be talented. Obviously its no secret that you need to be talented to play at the highest level but their are several other factors involved.

Think of it like applying for a job. Before you even get an interview there's an application process that takes certain information gathering before you present it to the employer.

That application process if wanting to play soccer professionally starts with four things:

1) Soccer CV (soccer resume)

2) Highlight Tape

3) Full Game Tape

4) References

After you've created/collected these four things you can then start to contact an Agent who will then review your application. They will then decide if they want to represent you and find you soccer tryouts. If they think that you're not what they're looking for you can move to the next agent until you find one that is interested.

If your boyfriend wants to truly play professionally a must have is physical fitness. There is no better way to have fitness like the pro's have then having a professional training program like the one here.

This 6 Week Pro Fitness Program will give you a detailed break down of workouts and when to do them over a 6 week period. Perfect for anybody trying to play professionally.

Thank you for your question and good luck.
